By Air

Through KLIA or Singapore Airport.
Although Melaka has an airport in Batu Berendam, about 10KM away from the city, but it is currently under upgrading works.

By Road through The North-South Highway
Budget way - Express buses from:
1. There are half hourly bus service from Puduraya, Kuala Lumpur. I recommend TRANSNATIONAL EXPRESS a ticket one-way cost RM9.50 (as at 22/8/2008).
2. You can also board a bus from the Seremban Terminal One, located in Negeri Sembilan.
3. There are express buses from Singapore or Johor Bahru too.

Comfortable - Taxi or Hotel Vans
However travelling by taxi is not recommended as its costly - about RM45 one way from KL, and the taxis are not well maintained inside.
Arranged for a Hotel Van, which may cost RM150 if you are coming from KLIA.

By Sea

Yes, there is a third entry point by sea. There is a daily ferry service from Dumai and Pekanbaru Indonesia.
